About the event

The Consulate-General of Japan in Denver and Japanese Business Association of the Rockies Visit Xairos Offices to Engage with Quantum Technologies

Officials from the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver, including Consul-General Okajima and other consulate staff, as well as members of the Japanese Business Association of the Rockies (JBAR) were welcomed to the Xairos office, in Tycho Station in Lafayette, on August 13, 2025, for a company presentation and demonstration.

Eleven participants attended the event, where we introduced Xairos’ cutting-edge quantum technology and explained the quantum entanglement and superposition principles behind it. The presentation sparked many questions and lively discussion, making for a highly engaging and informative session.

After the presentation, attendees toured the office and joined a demonstration led by our engineering team. They observed the system that generates quantum entanglement and saw how the stream of entangled photons is split into two paths, with one detected locally and the other detected remotely through an optical fiber. By analyzing the correlation in the two sets of detected photons, participants could clearly see from the software visualization that the height and sharpness of correlation peaks represented the photon’s travel time and offset between the local and remote clocks, which were then synchronized – key indicators of Xairos’ technical precision.

Program Director Mike Mabry explained the role of hardware, including photon sources, while Quantum Applications Engineer Ricky Heilbron, right, observed before he explained how photon entanglement occurs.

Participants also shared feedback such as, “we were impressed by the warm hospitality,” and “the explanations were slow, clear, and easy for Japanese speakers to follow, which really helped us understand the concepts.”

After the demonstration, the Xairos team joined a networking lunch hosted by the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver, offering a valuable opportunity to deepen connections and enjoy meaningful conversations.

We sincerely thank all participants for joining us. This meeting confirms that Xairos is very interested in collaborations with Japanese companies and organizations for the mutual benefit of all parties.

We look forward to continuing to deepen connections in various ways. The Xairos Team

Xairos
