Christie Cazes is an instructional designer, communications specialist, and program lead with experience across higher education, emergency management, law-enforcement technology, and national infrastructure protection. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design, a Master of Education in Educational Technology and Instructional Design, and early technical certifications in welding and hazardous-materials response, having worked in industrial welding and emergency-incident environments before transitioning into design and training.
Her career began in graphic design and crisis-management communications at Innovative Emergency Management (IEM), followed by a role at Louisiana State University’s Division of Instructional Support and Development. At LSU, she led graphics production, supported the Chancellor’s Office, trained faculty in multimedia tools, produced research and marketing materials, and collaborated with LSU Athletics, Public Relations, and Legal Affairs.
Christie later joined the FBI’s Law Enforcement Online (LEO) program as Digital Library Coordinator, developing nationwide training and digitizing intelligence resources for law-enforcement agencies. She also completed coursework at the FBI Academy in Behavioral Science and Communications.
She subsequently advanced to Program Lead for InfraGard, an FBI-affiliated national initiative for critical-infrastructure protection. Based in Washington, DC, she helped grow membership from 147 to over 47,000, built national communication and incident-sharing programs, supported the development of InfraGard chapters, and collaborated with private-sector and government leaders across critical-infrastructure sectors.
Christie has also held leadership roles with multiple nonprofit organizations, contributing expertise in communications, creative direction, fundraising, and event management.
